Last night I had the distinct pleasure of emceeing North Carolina Leather Contest. I had a fabulous time– it’s not often that I get to just crack jokes for 2.5 hours.
They had five contestants (all of whom were good, and NO I’m not just saying that!). Each of them at points and positions that I really enjoy. Phantom Blue came away with the title and the points were very close.
One of the fun parts for me came after the show– I think folks were really surprised at how funny I was. I like jokes and sometimes I can be pretty funny. I was really happy to share that part of myself with folks. It surprised me a bit that so many of them didn’t know that about me. But come to think of it, it’s been a decade or more since I’ve emceed in the southeast.
All in all, it was a well run contest (they sold out of tickets early on!) with quality contestants. I was truly pleased to be a part of it this year.
