too long between posts

It’s been way too long since I last posted here. I have been busier than a bee during the holiday. I am orchestrating file heirarchy within the website. It’s nice to re-order things and do a house cleaning. Her Devious Designs is working hard than ever and have created lots of new areas that I need to learn still. LOL… you’re going to hear lots about my learning curves with the monster batman city they have created behind the scenes for SELF. This is part of a plan I have been trying to realize for three years. I’m blown away. I can’t keep up with what they are making. They can create it so much faster than I am able to learn it.

But back to the picture deliciousness– we have a new way to deal with the tons of pictures. We love doing this and am so glad that we began those galleries years ago. If you go to the new site (click on register) you may be able to see some of the new galleries. They are so cool. We’re going to present our pictures in two ways. The next new way coming will be announced later and it’s going to be a bunch of fun. Can’t wait for that!

I’m back to doing other goodies. Many more SELF hours of work left to do and Jan. 1 we announce our new charities. That’s going to be exciting. I need to make web pages for that too before we can move forward.

SELF’s Kinky Prom (Feb. 6) starts at 8 p.m. and ends at 1:30 a.m. Get your tickets prior to the event for $20.00, and a limited number of tickets might be available for $25 (cash only) at the door until 11 p.m. Drink tickets will be sold separately, both online and at the event. (Note: This is a 21-and-over prom ONLY!) Get your tickets early as we expect to sell out!

Kinky Prom is a fundraiser for SouthEast LeatherFest’s 2010 charities. SELF’s charities will be announced Jan. 1st, 2010.

life moves so so so fast

We’re moving right along with the big city behind the curtain. Lots of additions to the website and management goodies. I’m learning lots and lots to be able to do my job. It’s been a busy SELF week. In light of all the new changes at SELF, we’ve had some staff shifts. Steven is going to take over some of the graphics duties and I’m going to do the tailoring job on them. I know it’s a great fit. Steven used to do our graphics. Such cute things too! He’s really good. I also have busted my behind (thanks for the acknowledgment Steven) to learn several high end programs to be able to do what I have to do for SELF also. SELF was really fortunate, several seriously good graphic artists applied and supplied good samples. I’m happy to be on a good schedule with how things will go.

I still have to find someone who can do the program book. I’m going to have to think about that and just how that will work. I’m not sure if we need someone new or if we have the reserves on the board to do the program book ourselves. That’s a decision coming to be sure. I’ve got a bit of leeway on that. We need to start that in Feb.

We’re going to begin scheduling classes and that should be released mid-jan. We’ve been working all sorts of schedules for departments and lots of ads. I’ve done several ads for us and off that went. :)

Today onto more choices about the website and I am working on slowly moving pages over. It’s helping me learn the system but it’s slow work.
