Doing some editing today with SELF’s publicity writer and website work. 
I did some fun graphics for SELF’s twitter account SELF_Butterfly and that was fun.
We also have a board meeting this week. It’s been a good year so far. I’m loving hearing all the voices. I was so surprised when I was advised to change how I was handling a long standing situation. I had no idea so many people on the board really felt strongly about it. That was back in October. Kyle was really smart– he put it clearly “…can’t have it both ways.” I thought I was being thoughtful and tolerant. Who knew? I’m glad I’m surrounded by people who aren’t afraid to tell me if they think I could do something better than I’m doing. That’s cool!
During the week we had a group of extremely generous people who all gathered to assist our titleholders. SELF is truly blessed with generous people who are willing to give their time and expertise. Thank you seriously to everyone.
I’m off to accomplish some of this.

Exciting developments– today I did some planning about possibilities for 2011. I think I may have a super exciting announcement for SELF. I had a long discussion with Kyle and others who are involved. I think it’s delicious.
More work on the SELF site over the last few days. nic did a fabulous job (20 hours of labor) with moving website pages over to the new site. Her Devious Designs, nic and myself are all working on the site and making this a smooth transition. Miss Bettie is trucking along setting up appointments as it’s time to start the podcast interviews again and doing other scheduling work.
It’s always interesting to work on one year and another year at the same time.
Sometimes I wonder what it is that keeps me so excited all the time about SELF. I don’t feel put upon, I don’t feel like it is taking anything from me. I’m just really excited about it. When I talk to people half the time I squeal in delight. It always makes other people chuckle and laugh because they aren’t used to seeing such delight. LOL… one person I was talking to a few days ago said, “You know Catherine, you’re not even a walking sales pitch, you’re actually just really happy and pleased with what’s happening.” Too true. I am.

It’s been way too long since I last posted here. I have been busier than a bee during the holiday. I am orchestrating file heirarchy within the website. It’s nice to re-order things and do a house cleaning. Her Devious Designs is working hard than ever and have created lots of new areas that I need to learn still. LOL… you’re going to hear lots about my learning curves with the monster batman city they have created behind the scenes for SELF. This is part of a plan I have been trying to realize for three years. I’m blown away. I can’t keep up with what they are making. They can create it so much faster than I am able to learn it.
But back to the picture deliciousness– we have a new way to deal with the tons of pictures. We love doing this and am so glad that we began those galleries years ago. If you go to the new site (click on register) you may be able to see some of the new galleries. They are so cool. We’re going to present our pictures in two ways. The next new way coming will be announced later and it’s going to be a bunch of fun. Can’t wait for that!
I’m back to doing other goodies. Many more SELF hours of work left to do and Jan. 1 we announce our new charities. That’s going to be exciting. I need to make web pages for that too before we can move forward.
