This popular seminar has been given for the last eight years. If you're engaging in D/s or M/s relationships this seminar is for you.
Be prepared to explore yourself. Servant's Retreat I focuses on using tools to be a whole person and bringing the power of everything you are into your service. At Retreat, we will explore in depth who we are, not only as servants/bottoms/slaves/boys/girls, but as people. We will use various psychological theories and models to illuminate how we serve and bottom. This retreat will not provide you with uniform answers- there are no patent answers. It is designed to provide you with tools which may allow you to find your answers while enhancing your service, confidence, and self-esteem.
The Retreat is not a Service 101 course of study, but rather, it is an intensive, interactive weekend created for people who submit, bottom, and/or serve. It is for people who are 24/7 or who serve a few hours a month and anywhere in between. It is for people who have been serving 20+ years or only a few months experience. It is open to all genders and orientations. It is not about fantasy but the realities of service. It is about the realities of living well and understanding ourselves fully.
Each session has worksheets and focuses on a different emotional or intellectual area of service. Some of the concepts we explore are: who we are as people; submission and self esteem; our past/present and how that effects our service; maintaining submission and obedience; training; self-maintenance, personal growth, concepts of punishment and reward, and much more. Mostly, this Retreat is about exploring who you are, how you live, and making powerful, healthy choices. Those choices are individual for you as a person who serves and/or submits.
SR generally runs Friday through Sunday. Due to the intensity of the seminar, only a limited number of attendees will be accepted. Register early to ensure your attendance by prepaying. Ok, it took me a bit to get to this, but it was too important to let go. i just attended SR last month, and after over 4 years in the scene, i can easily say it's the single best scene related thing i've ever done. It helped me take a good personal inventory of who i was, who i wasn't but had been told i was, all the things i could provide, and all the things i wanted.
The programming itself was wonderful, and Catherine couldn't be more engaging if she tried. She is fun, warm, and absolutely brilliant. She brings a lot of experience and insight to this, and it's invaluable.
Not only did SR enrich me as an individual, but it has enriched my relationship as well. Thanks to some issues that haunt me from my past, i've had relapses already, but when i slow down and take the time to meditate on the amazing place i was in when i came out of that weekend, i find my bubble again, and the world is a happy place. i am able to keep my focus better, serve Sir better, and be more consistent in my submission. i have always been happy in service, but i am even happier in it since SR.
i went in to the weekend not knowing what to expect. i was unsure of myself as a slave, unsure of my worth and unsure that i was even capable of being the property my Master deserved... i came out knowing beyond any shadow of a doubt just how valuable a piece of property i am, i left knowing how much i am able to offer Him, and i came out knowing that i am an amazing individual... i can't tell you the boost that the weekend gave my self-esteem... from a D/s perspective, yes, but also just on a personal level. It was beautiful.
i would *highly* recommend SR to anyone who was even considering offering service or submission to someone else. i wish i had found something like this when i first entered the scene, but better late than never. It was amazing, and i'm sure if you attend, you will not regret it for a second.i could probably go on and on about SR for pages (and hours), but with this and other people's testimonials, you'll no doubt see how wonderful the experience is. "It made me think and has given me several things to work on and to continue thinking about. I have received some good tools for my slave toolkit....used to expecting convention class style and it was so much more directive, intimate, and focused. SR's Sessions |
Session I:
Who are we?
Session II:
Submission & Self-esteem: An exploration of who we are, what submission is, what's realistic and what's not, models of submission and a personal inventory of needs and wants. This session includes a close look at the meaning of self-esteem.
Session III and IV:
Understanding our personal past and present. We'll explore how issues we carry with us affect our obedience and submission. Obedience will be covered in detail, inlcuding how we manage to be obedient when we don't feel like it.
Session V:
Keeping my submissive space- We're going to discuss boundaries, ritual, protocols, education and self-knowledge. We'll discuss self-motivating service, goals within your service and maintaining your space emotionally and physically.
How does it mold us, what types of punishment and reward are healthy and what works best to motivate us to learn?
Session VII:
Self-maintenance for growth: Training ourselves, preparing ourselves for the Master/Mistress we may or may not yet have and keeping our skills fresh and on point for the person we may be serving.
Session VIII:
Wrap up the week-end. Go over first few sheets and see what's changed, talk about what we've learned. |
